We help clients implement estate planning techniques to minimize estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes, to achieve their asset preservation goals, and to pass their property on as they intend.  We focus on the preparation of estate planning documents such as wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies, advance directives, HIPAA releases, and declarations of homestead, but our estate planning techniques also include the implementation of more sophisticated strategies and documents when appropriate.  We work closely with clients to develop a plan that is appropriate for their situation and their goals.

 

On the estate administration side of our practice we assist executors, administrators and trustees in all aspects of the probate administration of estates, including the preparation and timely filing of federal and state estate tax returns.

 

We are experienced in virtually all family law matters under the jurisdiction of the probate court:  guardianships, conservatorships, divorce, separation, custody, child support and visitation.  And we have decades of experience representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate litigation matters, from straightforward through complex.

 

There are several things that differentiate our law firm and the legal services we provide from traditional law firms:  We will avoid the hourly fee whenever possible. In most cases, we are able to utilize the 'flat fee' theory of compensation.  We do not believe that hourly billing is fair or reasonable in most matters, where a flat fee that solidifies client expectations would be more appropriate.
